The Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology IT (support stream) gives secondary school students a solid grounding in IT helpdesk support tasks as well as being an excellent pathway into studying cyber security.

This course can also lead to further study in courses at Certificate IV level and higher which will lead to job outcomes in IT support, a wide range of IT technical support roles, systems administration and network administration.

This two-year program is for secondary school students taking on VET studies as part of their school enrolment.

Over the course of the program, students will be able to complete the qualification and have the option of undertaking a Scored VET in VCE.

The Certificate IV in Information Technology Support will give you the practical skills and knowledge required to work as a paraprofessional dealing with technology, in a support role.

Through a blend of on-the-job assessment and training, and online material, you’ll develop your prowess in areas such as customer service, fault finding, help desk consulting, devising effective solutions and more.

After graduating, you’ll be awarded the Certificate IV in Information Technology Networking.
